How To Display BannersChapter 2: Using JavaScriptAnother idea for displaying banners on your web site is to use JavaScript. What you can do is write a little JavaScript file to pick out a banner from a selection coded into the script, and then link to this JavaScript file from your HTML pages using the <SCRIPT> tag.(If you don't understand JavaScript then get yourself a good JavaScript Tutorial). This approach has the advantage that if you want to update banners on all your pages you only need to update the one JavaScript file. However, this is offset by the fact that it can be fiddly to create and update this JavaScript file, even if you're an expert. If you review this list, while in some ways it's better than the list in the previous chapter, in other ways it's worse. The lack of tracking is still a major problem and using JavaScript does nothing to solve this problem.
