Make 3D eBook/Box Covers

Introduction

Have you seen those 3D images (eBook Covers) that are often use to represent eBooks, software, downloads, Ezines, and so on? They're pretty cool aren't they.

If you haven't got the faintest idea what I'm talking about, here's an example:

In this tutorial, I'll discuss several methods to get or create covers for your own products.

Right out, from the start, I'll tell you that our company offers an easy-to-use software program for creating covers (and boxes, and membership cards, and more!) called CoverFactory. That said, I'll also tell you about some of the alternatives...

(At which point you're probably asking yourself why I am telling you about options that don't involve buying our software? Firstly, because I know you can find them anyway if you want to look. But secondly, and more importantly, because I'm fairly confident that most readers will agree that our CoverFactory program is the best, simplest and cheapest way to produce these images).

Anyway, let's get started. I've divided this tutorial into three chapters:
  1. Using CoverFactory Software
In this chapter, I'll give you a quick introduction to using our the CoverFactory software. I can't of course discuss every feature of the program in a short article, but you should get a flavor. If you decide you want to know more, you can download the free trial version from our CoverFactory site, play around with it, look at the Help instructions included with the download, etc.

  2. Using Painting Software
In this chapter, I'll discuss creating cover images using painting and drawing software like Adobe Fireworks or Adobe Photoshop.

  3. Design Services
Finally, I'll tell you about a few designers who specalize in, and will create, cover images for you, for a fee.
