Make Screen Shots

Introduction

Many people want to create web sites, documents, or eBooks that contain screen shots. This requirement is particularly common if writing a tutorial or guide to using a particular program or web site.

In this tutorial, I'll explain how to do this.

This tutorial has four chapters:
  1. Capturing The Whole Screen
I'll begin by showing you the manual method of capturing the entire screen into a graphics file.

  2. Capturing A Specific Window
Next, we'll discuss how to capture a specific window into a graphic file.

  3. Capturing Web Sites
In this chapter, I'll show you how to get a screen capture of a web site.

  4. Some Helpful Tools
Finally, I'll tell you about some helpful tools (software programs) that you can use to help you with these tasks. Some of these tools also enable you to achieve things that you might not otherwise be able to.
