EMF File Format
Windows Enhanced Metafile (EMF) is a metafile format designed by Microsoft, and a successor to the older WMF format. EMF is supported in 32-bit versions of Windows (Windows NT and Windows 95 and later). EMF files are basically a file recording a sequence of Windows graphics functions, and thus while easily read on Microsoft Windows computers, are much harder to read on other platforms. The EMZ format is a compressed version of the EMF format.
