Hot-LinkingIf you have images or downloadable files (for example audio or video files) on your web site, other webmasters may link directly to these files. These files then appear to web surfers as part of these other webmasters' sites. However, as the files are downloaded from your web host, you end up paying for the bandwidth used to deliver these files! This is known as "hot-linking" and can be a major problem for sites with large numbers of images or downloadable files. Hot-Linking can be prevented by using special server configuration or scripts ("anti-leeching scripts"). Image Protection Rocket is able to generate scripts of this type.
